| About This Category:
Death Fics are about death of one or more of the Seven only. If anyone
else dies, even a supporting canon character, it's a Tear Jerker.
And in some tear jerkers, no one dies.
We really don't care for the almost universal practice of warning readers up front when something is a death fic. It ruins the suspense in stories which really are death fics as well as those that are not. The absence of a death fic warning eliminates any suspense over whether a character as died or not as a story unfolds - we know they didn't. If the practice wasn't so universal, we wouldn't have this page -- we'd let readers take their chances. |
